Revolut will be adding new cryptocurrencies to its app over the coming weeks with the launch of the ‘New Token Tuesdays’ initiative.
The weekly release of cryptocurrencies will add to the 21 token already supported in the app, beginning with 8 new additions to Network and Oracle’s collections.
The FinTech said that each release will be accompanied by new crypto-related educational content.
The first New Token Tuesdays’ release, which starts today June 1st, includes eight new Network and Oracle tokens: ATOM, NKN, MATIC, ALGO, CELO, BAND, LINK and TRB.
The initiative has been launched in the UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia,
Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain,and Sweden.
The company has emphasised in customer communications that crypto tokens are volatile assets and prices can change fast, the company said.
Ed Cooper, head of crypto at Revolut, said: "We are very proud and excited about New Token Tuesdays, and we believe our customers will be too. We look forward to announcing each new batch over the coming weeks.”
