The tenth anniversary FST Awards 2010 were held on 25 March at the Lancaster London Hotel, Bayswater. The event attracted 435 guests, across 43 tables, from all sectors of the financial services industry. Nationwide, NAG, Co-operative Financial Services and Barclays sent in entries from their retail banking operations, with Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse highlighting wholesale banking IT projects. In the insurance space, there was L&G, Aviva and RSA, alongside building societies, such as Newcastle and Yorkshire. Infrastructure providers, such as Euroclear and Chi-X, were also in attendance. Others competing for the prestigious awards were Morgan Stanley, Investec, Brewin Dolphin, Fidelity, Lloyds Banking Group, CECA, Emriates NBD, and GE Money. The FST Awards, celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, aim to recognise excellence and innovation in the field of information technology within the UK and EMEA financial sector. These prestigious awards are designed to emphasise the importance of IT as a key driver in business and to acknowledge and reward IT specialists working within the sector. The primary criteria for judging is the delivery of definable and significant business benefits, innovation and originality of application. Project management issues, such as the scale and delivery on time and within budget, are also be taken into account. FST will only accept nominations concerning retail banks,
wholesale banks, insurance companies or other financial service providers.
We may receive nominations from anyone who has responsibility for information
technology management or strategy within a financial institution or from
service suppliers, press officers, PRs or consultants, representing them.
All shortlisted entries will be listed under the name of the financial
institution, with any partners included in the 50-word project summary.
