Penfold has launched an Advisor Portal which it says is designed to simplify the process of managing pensions and payroll schemes on behalf of SMEs.
The pension provider's new services are aimed at accountants, payroll bureaus and business advisors. It will automate processes which are time consuming such as managing opt-outs and postponement periods, said the company.
The portal has been designed with input from accountants across the UK and users will have access to concierge and customer support services.
Penfold has also recruited a new specialist team for the launch. Steve Ayers joins the firm from Lloyds Banking group where he led Private Banking. Terry Kemp joins from Creative benefits as does Michael Groves, who previously worked at Smart Pension.
Commenting on the launch, Pete Hykin the co-founder of the firm said: “We see the launch of our adviser portal as closing the loop on effective auto-enrolment implementation and management for forward-thinking workplaces.”
He added: “Through Penfold, business advisers, employers, and employees will all benefit from our purpose-built pension tech that pulls pensions out of the dark ages and into the modern world of work.”
