New CTO promises tech innovation at Investec

Investec Asset Management has appointed Lucia Pino-Garcia as its new chief technology officer.

A statement from the firm said she has been appointed to enhance its technology platform for the next phase of development.

Pino-Garcia was most recently global head of fixed income and liquidity technology at JPMorgan Asset Management. She began her career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a developer supporting trading desks within the credit division.

In her new role, Pino-Garcia will focus on developing the technology underpinning Investec Asset Management’s global operations, helping the firm to deliver superior service to its clients.

John Green, co-chief executive at Investec Asset Management, commented: “Hiring Lucia underlines our commitment to developing a best-in-class technology capability to support better investment outcomes for our clients.

“Building on our global operations platform, Lucia will not only bring significant experience to our team, but she will also enable us to evolve to meet our clients’ future requirements and move the technology needle in our business.”
