Nationwide uses OutSystems for business savings service

Nationwide is using the OutSystems low-code platform to develop a new digital business savings service.

The building society’s new digital business banking savings service is expected to launch in early 2020, powered by the FinTech’s application development tools.

Darren Bailey, head of product management at Nationwide, said: “We were keen to deliver innovative digital services that enable our business customers to quickly access the information they need at their fingertips – the OutSystems low-code application development platform will enable us to do this.”

He added that the speed with which an application can be released gives the building society flexibility to react to changing customer requirements, meaning it can “remain agile as a business”.

In July, Nationwide partnered with Mastercard in preparation for the launch of new business banking services targeting Britain’s 5.6 million small businesses.
