mydesq turns to Encap for authentication

FinTech firm mydesq is to integrate Smarter Authentication technology from Encap into its wealth management platform.

The mydesq offering provides wealth managers with a next generation ‘workbench’ to help them improve their service to clients, provide an enhanced customer experience, comply with regulations and increase productivity. It is also designed to onboard clients quickly, and pool all relevant information to create tailored investment recommendations.

Wealth managers are able to monitor investments and interact with clients online through the mydesq system, and Encap’s Smarter Authentication will turn any device into a security credential – removing the need for SMS codes, tokens and SIM cards. It includes one-touch access via Apple Touch-ID, and users will be able to use the same method of authentication across mobile, web, call centre and branch. mydesq will also be able to utilise Encap’s PKI key-generation technology to offer legally binding digital e-signatures.

mydesq’s CEO, Milan Vora, explained: “This new generation wants to interact securely online and via mobile with their advisors. Encap Security was a natural fit for our philosophy – it enables easy, intuitive access that users don’t find painful and frustrating, while ensuring banking-grade security to protect valuable data from attack.”
