A new digital and technology programme has opened applications for its first cohort, looking to foster the UK’s startups.
The Exchange scheme will offer early stage tech companies and entrepreneurs access to the tools and infrastructure they need, as part of Enterprise City, a two million square foot tech, media and cultural cluster in the heart of Manchester city centre.
The scheme, situated in Bonded Warehouse, is spearheaded by property development and investment company Allied London, and will support over 200 individuals with its six to 12 month development programme.
Exchange is currently accepting applications for its first cohort of members, with businesses needing to meet one or more of the following criteria: it has been trading for less than three years, it’s headquartered in the UK, it is a digital tech business with a product or service to sell, has at least one active client or pilot in progress, or has ambitions of growing and scaling.
In collaboration with Tech Nation, Exchange will empower ambitious entrepreneurs to encourage smarter growth through its flexible workspace, focused workshops, up-skill sessions and speaker events.
Michael Ingall, founder and chief executive at Allied London, said: “We are continuing to set a precedent with the Enterprise City brand by launching Exchange, a truly valuable programme within the tech and digital industry.
"From world-leading technology companies to media production studios, we have attracted huge brands to the new district already, and the Exchange programme intends to grow the UK’s next best start-ups as a result of the environment we are creating.”
