Curve grows wearables suite with Garmin and Fitbit

Curve has expanded its wearables offering by partnering with Garmin, Fitbit and Sony’s Wena pay.

The banking platform that consolidates multiple cards and accounts into one smart card and app, has now enabled wearable device users to pay with any of their cards using its technology.

Customers of all three businesses can now get all cards fee free when spending abroad, spending insights across all accounts and money transfers between accounts up to two weeks after a purchase has been made on Curve cards across all 31 European Economic Area countries.

Diego Rivas, Curve’s head of product operating system, said: “Bringing Curve’s all-your-cards-in-one benefits to three of the biggest players in the wearables space, and enabling their customers to be able to pay with any bank using the platform truly cements Curve as the ultimate way to manage all your finances in one place.”

In recent months, the FinTech has partnered with both Samsung Pay and Google Pay so its customers can connect their accounts and pay using Android smartwatches, as well as other devices from the likes of Acer, Huawei, HTC, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson and Motorola.

In September, Curve raised £6 million via crowdfunding, following a Series B funding round in July which raised £44 million at a valuation of a quarter of a billion dollars. The company has announced it plans European and US expansion in 2020.
