BNP Paribas launches voice-enabled investment on Amazon Alexa

BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM) has launched an Investment Insights Service for Amazon Alexa-enabled devices.

The service, developed by the asset management subsidiary of the banking group, delivers intuitive interaction with Alexa enabled devices to access voice-activated market commentary and thought leadership.

It aims to improve and automate the investment process and client communications.

The move comes as financial services providers increasingly look to voice-assisted technologies and Internet of Things (IoT) to improve user experience for customers.

Alexa users across 41 countries will have access to a number of services, including: a five-minute market update on Monday mornings, a short briefing on the day’s key content, a recap on Fridays which covers top thought leadership content, a live database of market data and answers to questions about BNNPP AM.

“We believe that voice-enabled interaction with our clients and investors will become increasingly important and the introduction of Investment Insights is a key development, enabling us to offer a voice experience that is more robust and complete than anything else that is currently available within the asset management market,” said Hilda Tingle, head of digital marketing at BNP Paribas Asset Management.

“BNPP AM’s Investment Insights service is available to users with Alexa-enabled devices, including Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus and Fire TV, using the command “Alexa, enable Investment Insights.”
