Nium expands Middle East presence with Enjaz partnership

Nium has announced a partnership with Enjaz Banking Services, the remittance division of Bank Albilad in Saudi Arabia.

The Singapore-based global payments provider will work with the bank to offer free international money transfer services through the Enjaz app.

“We have a massive opportunity in the Middle East,” said Anupam Pahuja, executive vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa at Nium. “Trillions of dollars flow through the region, and we expect even more volume as real-time payments adoption accelerates.”

Nium’s pairup with Enjaz follows other recent partnerships with institutions in the region such as UAE’s Mashreq Bank and foreign exchange houses Al Fardan Exchange, Alawneh Exchange, and Al Rostamani Exchange.

The company said its momentum in the region is being supported by recent appointment of regional vice presidents Nawal Kebouri Ammor, Ashraf Omran, and Saikat Roy, who collectively bring more than 50-years of in-depth payments and banking knowledge to Nium prospects and clients in the region.

“We are dedicated to helping customers in this global financial centre reach more of the world with a modern, secure, and efficient way to send and receive money,” Pahuja continued. “We look forward to partnering with more banks and businesses for growth.”
