Wise to hire 1,000 people next year

Wise has announced plans to hire over 1,000 people globally in 2022.

The London-based FinTech, which currently has 3,000 worldwide employees, said that it is hiring across all teams, from product marketing to engineering and customer support.

The move comes as the company publishes its half year results, which show revenue increased by 33 per cent and gross profit by 46 per cent.

The roles will help support the company’s aim to work to lower fees, speed-up payments for more markets, expand its business offering, and build new partnerships.

The business currently has 17 offices around the world, including in London, New York, and Singapore.

“We’re now helping over 11 million people and businesses save £1 billion in fees every year,” wrote Nilan Peiris, Wise vice president for growth, in a team update. “But we’re nowhere near the finish line: £150 billion annually is still lost to hidden fees.

“That's why we’re looking to hire more than 1,000 people globally next year, from Budapest to Singapore to our new office in Austin (yes, that's where we're opening our third US base.)”
