Revolut Bank launches in Ireland

Revolut Bank has launched its digital banking operations in Ireland.

The move will allow the FinTech’s 1.7 million existing users in Ireland to access protected deposit accounts, which are insured for up to €100,000 per customer.

Revolut Bank is now available to consumers in 29 countries within the European Economic Area.

Irish customers can upgrade via the Revolut app to access the additional services.

In addition, Revolut recently began offering personal loans to users in Ireland at 5.99 per cent APR.

“Revolut is one of the fastest growing FinTech companies in Europe because we put the customer at the heart of everything that we do,” said Joe Heneghan, chief executive for Europe at Revolut Bank. “Our customer experience is second to none, we have no hidden fees, and we are constantly building new and innovative financial products.”

He added: “Launching the bank in Ireland will provide a greater level of security and confidence for our customers and will enable us to launch a host of new products and services in the future.”
