ClearBank's parent company appoints four non-executive directors

ClearBank's parent company has appointed four non-executive directors to a new board as part of plans to build the business and support its international expansion.

Peter Herbert, who is currently chair of the Bank of Ireland (UK), will join ClearBank Group as group chair. Herbert also previously held the role of chair at Zopa Bank.

Tim Wade has been appointed senior independent director and group chair of the audit committee, he is also chair of audit committee at Royal Bank of Canada Europe and Virgin Money.

Richard Anderson, formerly non-executive chair at Banking Competition Remedies and ex-chair of the risk committee at Pay.UK, joins the firm as group chair of risk committee.

Susanne Hannestad, who has been appointed as non-executive director, also holds board positions at Triodos Bank, Monty Mobile Ltd, Crunchfish and Zimpler.

ClearBank said the new team will guide the bank as it increases its customer base and steer the group as it expands into new markets.
