Visa rolls out SME onboarding platform in North America

Visa has rolled out Detected’s Know Your Business (KYB) platform to help improve the onboarding process for SMEs in the US and Canada.

The move builds on an existing partnership between the two companies but marks a first for Visa in North America.

Detected provides a cloud-based platform that includes a no-code, modular customer onboarding flow builder, an intelligent data engine, and a case management dashboard.

“We’re thrilled to be collaborating with Detected to give Visa small business customers access to streamlined onboarding, while ensuring a safe and compliant ecosystem,” said Sarah Steele, senior director of Visa Small Business Product. “Through Detected’s unique intelligence engine and ongoing monitoring capabilities, Visa customers can take advantage of a user-friendly interface.”

Visa recently announced a new partnership with Plug and Play, a start-up accelerator and venture capital firm.

Under the agreement, Visa will support Plug and Play’s entrance into the Canadian FinTech market and set up a platform for FinTechs.

Visa said that FinTechs will be able to use Visa’s global network to scale, while also being invited to interactive events where they can collaborate and learn from new partners.
