Starling Bank has launched a year-long partnership with FinTech North, a regional not-for-profit UK FinTech hub which aims support engagement, collaboration and knowledge across the North of England.
The digital bank said the partnership will strengthen ties within the northern FinTech community.
The partnership will deliver a series of roundtables at Starling’s office in Manchester to explore the key issues and opportunities shaping the future of the industry.
Starling will also become a sponsor of the not-for-profit's annual Manchester Conference in 2026, highlighting the bank’s presence in the North and playing a key role in shaping the agenda.
The digital bank added that the partnership will also help promote content, vacancies, and initiatives to FinTech North’s community of nearly 10,000 people.
“As someone who has worked in Manchester for over a decade and attended FinTech North’s events for many years, this partnership is exciting and further cements Starling’s commitment to the region,” said Rose Buckler, head of business banking operations at Starling. “It also shows our shared vision to support small businesses to grow, fuelling new jobs and prosperity in the North of England.”
Earlier this month, Starling announced that it has partnered with Small Business Britain to boost female entrepreneurship and help women to start and grow their businesses.
Launching in early 2026, the scheme will provide a free training programme of online masterclasses and peer learning opportunities focused on building confidence, growth and financial skills.
Starling said the programme will also support mental resilience, financial wellbeing and community connection after research from Small Business Britain found that 60 per cent of female founders struggle to switch off from work.
