Klarna forms new partnership to offer money health check

Klarna has announced a a new partnership with financial wellbeing provider Money Wellness to give its customers easy access to a financial health check.

The ‘Money MOT’, delivered by Money Wellness, is available to all Klarna users. The FinTech said it provides a personalised picture of their finances with advice on how to make their work for them, including everyday budgeting support to making the most of their income and advice on managing debts.

Klarna, which is known for its buy now, pay later services, said that its customers will be able to access support in a way that suits them. They can speak directly to a Money Wellness adviser, book a call for later, or complete a financial health check online via a secure link.

“The Money MOT is a quick, free way to see where you stand and pick up practical, personalised tips, whether your finances are in great shape or you'd just like to feel more on top of things,” said Abby Vickers, head of financial services UK at Klarna. “We're proud to bring the experts at Money Wellness right into the Klarna app, so a bit of help is always just a tap away.”

In May, Klarna announced net income of $1 million in the first quarter of 2026, up from a $90 million loss compared to the same period the previous year.

The announcement market the first time Klarna has made a profit since its $15 billion New York initial public offering (IPO) in September 2025.

Active customer numbers also grew to 119 million, a 21 per cent increase from last year.
