DriveWealth raises $21m Series B funding

DriveWealth has announced the closure of a $21 million (£15 million) Series B investment, led by Raptor Group Holdings, SBI Holdings and Point72 Ventures.

The company offers a range of APIs to modernise financial services for online brokers, digital advisors and mobile online financial services companies, helping them access the US securities market.

“We are thrilled to partner with SBI Group, Japan’s leading provider of internet financial services and two leading venture investing firms, with significant financial technology experience and expertise,” said Robert Cortright, chief executive of DriveWealth. “Our solutions provide our partners native integration into their customer facing, mobile applications and reimagine investing for the clients they serve.”

Yoshitaka Kitao, chairman of SBI Holdings, added: “As a pioneer of internet-based financial services, we are excited to add DriveWealth to the world’s first ‘financial ecosystem’ that SBI has now expanded from Japan to worldwide.”
