Atos and Aegon sign £200m extension

Digital services firm Atos has announced that it has secured a thirteen year contract with life and pensions provider, Aegon, to deliver its protection business processes.

Atos also announced plans to significantly grow its Business Process Services (BPS) financial services sector business line in the UK and Ireland.

In a deal worth £200 million, Atos will work with Aegon to improve business processes and customer experience for its 500,000 protection customers, achieved through advanced IT solutions and integrating them with a retained workforce at Aegon’s Lytham St. Annes office.

Through the new partnership, Atos will manage all aspects of the customer journey from initial underwriting through to claims management for its individual protection offering, which comprises of a full portfolio of life assurance, critical illness, disability and income protection products.

Adrian Gregory, CEO of Atos UK & Ireland, said: “Our BPS business in the UK has experienced strong double-digit growth for a number of years. There is a real buzz being created about the innovations we’ll be introducing to enhance our customer service.”
