Social media innovation at FStech Awards

Barclaycard, eToro, Thomson Reuters and Wonga.com are in the running for Best Use of Social Media at the 2013 FStech Awards. The Awards will take place on Wednesday, 17 April at the London Lancaster Hotel

Barclaycard is shortlisted for PayBand, a silicon NFC wristband and the first ever Barclays product with integrated social media. eToro has been recognised for its work in the social trading sector. Thomson Reuters launched two new products in 2012 which mine the wealth of social media content and deliver digestible analytics to help identify and capitalise on new trading opportunities. Whilst Wonga.com is in contention for OpenWonga, a platform to actively engage with conversations on the internet and give an open, honest view of Wonga and where it fits into the financial landscape.
