deVere launches app-based onboarding

Wealth and financial advisory firm deVere is launching app-based onboarding and verification amid growing demand for FinTech solutions in the industry.

Ident Me is an app which provides an alternative to traditional customer onboarding, along with a notary service function.

The three-step Know Your Customer (KYC) process involves uploading pictures of the front and back of an ID card or passport, followed by document capture of proof of address, and a selfie 'liveness test' which will be verified against the ID or passport photo provided.

Once this documentation has been approved, users will be offered access to deVere’s FinTech apps.

Founder and chief executive of deVere Group, Nigel Green, said: “There’s soaring global demand for FinTech and it’s clear it is going to become an increasingly dominant part of our lives moving forward.

“Against this backdrop of growing demand, we decided that we needed to make the set-up process of onboarding to use our apps as quick, easy and secure as possible.”
