Sainsbury’s rolls out Klarna BNPL to Argos, Habitat and Tu

Sainsbury’s has partnered with Klarna to enable its Argos, Habitat and Tu customers to choose Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) at checkout for online purchases.

When making purchases at across the three brands, shoppers will be able to use Klarna’s three interest free payments; pay immediately and in full with Pay Now; pay in 30 days with Pay Later; and pay over three equal installments with Pay in 3.

“Argos, Habitat, and TU are British icons known for reliability and value, making Klarna's interest-free payment solutions a seamless fit.” said David Sykes, chief commercial officer at Klarna.

In April, Klarna announced that it was selling virtual shopping platform HERO to video commerce platform Bambuser for around 15 million Swedish Krona (€1.5 million).

Klarna, which first acquired HERO in July 2021, said at the time it would introduce the company to 250,000 retail partners, enabling them to create content related to their products and improve the online shopping experience .
