Jordan Kuwait Bank partners with Mastercard on multicurrency digital wallet

Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) has partnered with Mastercard and UAE-based technology company FOO to launch a multicurrency prepaid digital wallet.

eliWallet offers both physical and virtual cards for online and in-store payments.

JKB said that eliWallet will additionally allow its customers to transfer money across borders in a “secure and seamless” payment experience.

FOO has been responsible for setting up the platforms interface as well as developing, customising and testing eliWallet. It has also been tasked with integrating eliWallet with all third parties.

“At Mastercard, we are committed to reshaping the payment landscape and advancing financial inclusion in the region,” said Cynthia El Khoury, country manager, Levant & Iraq at Mastercard. “Through our partnership with JKB and FOO, the launch of eliWallet introduces customers to a robust, digital-first payment solution that significantly enhances their financial freedom.”
