German BNPL Mondu hire ex-Klarna exec

German Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) provider Mondu has hired ex-Klarna exec Miyu Lee.

Lee is set to take on the role of chief legal officer and general counsel at Mondu.

Previously, Lee held the role of legal director at Klarna, as well as the role of legal and regulatory operations lead and competence group lead.

Mondu, based in Berlin, provide a solution aimed at small to medium sized businesses.

The firm raised $14 million in a seed investment in October 2021.

“I am super excited to help the business innovate B2B payments by building one of the most dynamic and modern legal and compliance teams to match Mondu‘s ambitious plans,” said Lee. “Mondu has already grown phenomenally over the past six months, and we’ll be scaling our legal and compliance teams as we continue to grow across 2022.”

She added: “We have already hired exceptional lawyers and compliance specialists to join our teams and we are always on the lookout for additional tech-savvy talent to work with us and grow their skillset in the FinTech ecosystem.”
