ClearBank partners with Ozone API to accelerate Open Banking adoption

ClearBank has partnered with technology provider Ozone API to accelerate the adoption of Open Banking around the world.

Through the partnership, ClearBank said its customers will be able to use Open Banking APIs that comply with standards and regulations in the UK and the EU.

It added that the move would give them the tools to capitalise on open finance, offering a scalable and future-proof approach.

London-based ClearBank announced plans to expand across Europe last year after securing a Dutch banking licence which allows it to offer clearing and embedded banking.

The bank said this latest partnership is a continuation of its global expansion plans.

The company added that the collaboration with Ozone API will bring opportunities to markets ripe for Open Banking acceleration well beyond PSD2 compliance.

Ozone API currently operates across global markets in Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, and North America.

“This partnership is key for us in ensuring we maximise the capabilities of our platform for our clients,” said Spiros Theodossiou, chief product and technology officer at ClearBank. “Collaborating with Ozone API has allowed us to do just that, not only in the UK but also in the Netherlands as we expand into Europe.”
