Banco Santander and Google have partnered to launch a free AI course for anyone over the age of 18.

The course has been launched on the Santander Open Academy platform and is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

The course aims to offer insight into the potential of AI for both personal and business use.

Santander said that students will be able to boost their productivity, learn the basics of the technology, and develop the skills to automate tasks as well as come up with ideas and solve problems more efficiently.

The course has been designed for those with no experience of AI, with Banco Santander saying it will allow participants to pick up practical skills that they can use at work. On completion of the course, students will be awarded with a certificate.

“There’s absolutely no doubt that AI is revolutionising our day to day, especially at the workplace and in the creation of new job opportunities and roles,” said Rafael Hernández, global head of Santander Universities. “This course provides valuable tools to boost job skills and generate greater competitiveness and seamless adaptation to the current and future demands of the job market.”
