Zeta introduces NFC payments tag

Indian FinTech startup Zeta has released a new NFC-based payments sticker that can be attached to “just about anything”, including mobiles, accessories and pens.

Since launching earlier this week, the ‘Super Tag’ has been picked up and used by 8,000 Zeta customers. The feature is currently only available in office cafes, but the startup plans to roll it out to retail users in the coming months.

Bhavin Turakhia, co-founder and CEO of Zeta, noted: “To make a payment, all a user needs to do is tap the Super Tag on a NFC reading device at the cash counter and the money will be automatically deducted from his Zeta account. It sticks onto your personal effects such as a key, ID card or even a pen – turning them into payment devices.”

Founded in 2015, Zeta provides an end-to-end digital payments solution, tackling the employee tax benefits, vouchers and rewards space.
