Staples first to retail Intuit Pay in UK

Staples and Intuit have announced a three-month pilot that will allow the office supplies giant to be the exclusive UK retailer of Intuit Pay. Now available from staples.co.uk, the m-payments solution enables small businesses to accept credit and debit card payments while on the move.

Transactions can be made face-to-face using a chip and PIN card reader, which connects to an Intuit Pay app on a compatible smartphone or iPad using Bluetooth, and merchants can also get paid by key entering card information online from their laptop.

“At Staples, we have a long history of providing small business owners with the latest products to help them keep their company moving forward,” says Louise Barber, head of retail marketing, Staples. “Businesses increasingly need the flexibility to take payments from customers anytime, anywhere. Our partnership with Intuit brings cutting-edge Intuit Pay technology to our UK customers, demonstrating our continued commitment to support small businesses.”
