South Bangla Agriculture & Commerce Bank (SBAC) has gone live with T24 from Temenos. SBAC Bank is one of nine new entrants to the Bangladeshi banking market in 2013 and aims to help strengthen on-going financial inclusion programmes through bringing unbanked people into the banking network (around 60 per cent of Bangladesh remains unbanked).
Chairman S M Amjad Hossain comments: “We are delighted to have partnered with Temenos. The speed in which we have reached go-live is testament to its experience and capabilities and vindicate one of the many reasons for which we chose T24 as our software platform. Our aim is to be the leading bank in Bangladesh and, with the support of Temenos, we believe we can achieve this.”
