Nationwide announces network upgrade

Nationwide Building Society has announced that it has selected Tech Mahindra to provide network and infrastructure transformation services over a five year partnership agreement. This will provide resources to upgrade Nationwide’s digital banking system, enabling the building society to expand its online and app services.

Coupled with providing 24/7 support to more than 15 million customers, the network upgrade will also enable Nationwide to connect its UK retail operations, comprising of 700 branches. ‘Nationwide NOW videoconferencing’ will also be unveiled as part of the new system, designed to enhance customer experience in branch, as well as an improvement of back-end services for staff.

Debra Bailey, CIO of Nationwide, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Tech Mahindra as a new IT partner to Nationwide. I am looking forward to seeing the impact they will make as they become a vital part of the Nationwide IT team.”
