BT snags another NBAD contract

The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) has selected BT to connect its expanding network of regional and global operations.

BT will leverage its BT Connect portfolio of managed network services to link NBAD’s centralised IT services from the datacentre in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to its network of 12 branches worldwide. Deployment of the new networking platform is part of the core banking centralisation project at the bank’s headquarters in the UAE. The deal comes on top of an earlier contract with NBAD for BT Radianz Cloud services at the bank’s trading floor in the UAE.

Hossam El Kobrosy, director, IT Infrastructure at NBAD, says: “Already one of the leading banks in the UAE, NBAD's vision is to be the world’s best Arab bank. To realise this vision we are committed to provide our customers with the best services, understand their needs, and dedicate all our energies to serving them. We want to continue to be the bank of choice for our customers around the world and the contract with BT will cement our position as a leading global bank with the best and most secure connectivity for our operations.”
