Momentum turns to RiskFirst on analytics

Momentum Investment Solutions & Consulting (ISC) has adopted RiskFirst’s PFaroe system as its risk analytics platform.

The ISC team advises large UK pension schemes on investment strategy, and has over £10 billion of assets under advice. It will use the PFaroe system to help model, implement and monitor sophisticated asset allocation, liability hedging and de-risking strategies.

Peter Hall, senior investment consultant at Momentum ISC, said: “Our team has over 15 years’ experience advising large private-sector DB pension schemes, and a demonstrable track record of developing innovative solutions. To support this advice we needed a top end, pensions specific analytics platform. PFaroe won out for its ease of use and high level of sophistication, allowing us to model complex asset strategies. Indeed, PFaroe’s analytics will be an important part of our offering as we structure and implement very precise mandates, looking at risks and returns in granular detail.”
