M&S Bank Help launches on Twitter

M&S Bank's customer service team have taken to Twitter.

@M&SBankHelp's bio says: We are here to help. We may ask you to send your name & postcode to 247@mandsbank.com to help with your query, but please don’t tweet personal info

The retail giant's banking venture saw its first current accounts go live in 2012 and it has set its sights on opening 28 bank branches by the end of the year. M&S plans to open a total of 50 branches by the end of 2013, with opening hours mirroring the shops in which they are based.

Its social media drive is part of its attempts to differentiate itself from the traditional High Street retail banks by highlighting an emphasis on customer service and convenience.
