London-based Millennial banking app Emma Technologies has been approved and registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Emma provides a mobile banking solution for Millennials that is designed to help users avoid overdrafts, find and cancel subscriptions, track debt and save money. Following the launch of a closed beta in December last year, the company is now able to fully operate as a bank under the recently launched PSD2 scheme.
Antonio Marino, chief technology officer and co-founder of Emma, said: “We started developing Emma on a mission to improve people’s financial well being. We are thrilled to announce the FCA has given us full permission to achieve our goal. Further, we are happy to share we are currently working to integrate a series of challenger banks and savings solutions to further extend our offering.”
