Nitro partners with AIB on e-docs

Allied Irish Banks (AIB) has signed a deal with workflow solutions provider Nitro to re-vamp its electronic document system.

AIB is using the technology to improve efficiencies and save money by simplifying how its 1,000 employees create, edit, sign and share digital documents.

Enda Quain, head of technology integration and assurance at AIB, said: “We’ve started using Nitro within our organisation and have been blown away by how much faster, more functional and cost-effective it is compared to what we used before.”

AIB is the 500,000th client for Australian-founded Nitro, which launched its EMEA headquarters in Dublin last year. The company also secured a $15 million funding round from Battery Ventures in November, and is planning to open an EMEA data centre in Ireland by the end of 2015.
