Mike Ainslie joins Detected

Detected, a London-based business onboarding platform, has appointed Mike Ainslie as its new chief financial officer.

Ainslie joins the FinTech after previously holding the role of chief financial officer at Yell.

He also worked as chief executive at World-Check and has held several roles at the First National Bank of Chicago.

In his new role Ainslie will focus on the financial strategy and management of the business.

Commenting on the news Liam Chennells, founder and chief executive of Detected said: "With his extensive background in finance and leadership, Mike brings invaluable expertise to Detected as we continue to grow.”

He added: “Solid fundamentals and back office operation that scale are critical. We’re really happy to welcome him to the team and excited for the impact he’ll have in the coming year.”

Detected recently raised £2.5 million in its latest funding round, including investment from Thomson Reuters Ventures, Love Ventures and powerful industry angels, taking their Seed Round to £6 million.

The appointment of Ainslie follows the hiring of Jack Rawden as product and delivery director. Austin Grimes also recently who joined the firm as head of global partnerships.
