JPMorgan Payments has expanded its payments offering into Ireland through a new partnership, extending payment acceptance services to Irish software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms and merchants.
The move, made in tandem with embedded payments provider Unipaas, enables vertical SaaS providers to offer white-labelled payment services to businesses operating in Ireland, with the companies also planning to expand the offering into other European markets.
JPMorgan said the expansion forms part of its strategy to help merchants simplify payments and support businesses entering new markets, combining its acquiring capabilities with Unipaas's embedded payments technology.
The bank added the collaboration builds on the partners' existing presence in the UK. It aims to provide businesses with payment processing, fraud controls and intelligent transaction routing designed to improve payment performance and resilience.
Unipaas said the expansion follows growing demand from existing customers and the wider market for embedded payment capabilities.
JPMorgan added that it plans to continue expanding its European commerce platform through partnerships and local payment capabilities.
Ludovic Houri, head of EMEA and APAC for merchant services at JPMorgan Payments, said: "Ireland is a dynamic, innovation-led economy and a natural next step to expand our work with Unipaas. By combining modern technology platforms with our leading acquiring capabilities in Europe, we're delivering a resilient, scalable foundation for commerce across the continent."
