Investec Bank appoints new fixed income and ETF executives

Investec Bank has announced the appointment of William Boddy as head of fixed income and ETFs.

Ben Goodchild will also be joining the financial services provider as deputy head of fixed income trading and ETFs.

Both join from Winterflood Securities, where they held senior leadership roles in fixed income trading.

The bank said the move marks an important step in the expansion of its “high-tech, high-touch” execution model.

Investec says it has introduced dedicated fixed income and ETF expertise to broaden the range of solutions available to clients so that they can access a wider set of investment opportunities while benefiting from the firm’s "personalised service and deep market insight."

“The appointment of William Boddy and Ben Goodchild is an important step in accelerating the growth of our fixed income and ETF business," said Clive Murray, head of equities, Investec. "These are fast-growing areas of the market where clients are looking for more choice, greater efficiency and access to innovative solutions."

The new hires build on Investec's recent launch of ZebrA-X, its new electronic trading platform, which helps clients execute trades quickly and efficiently while accessing deeper pools of liquidity.

“I look forward to building our fixed income and ETF capabilities as part of this integrated approach, giving clients more ways to achieve efficient and effective execution," said William Boddy, head of fixed income and ETFs at Investec.
