Google is launching a new AI-powered financial tool across Europe this week, providing users with financial research tools, advanced data visualisation features and live earnings insights in multiple local languages.
Part of the Google Finance platform, the company said the new tool is based on AI-driven financial research that allows users to ask questions about individual stocks, market movements and broader economic trends. The service generates AI-powered responses alongside links to additional sources and information.
Google added it has also expanded its Deep Search functionality globally within Google Finance, allowing users to carry out more detailed financial research and analysis.
The company said the platform includes new charting capabilities designed to move beyond traditional historical performance tracking. Users can access technical indicators such as moving average envelopes, while interactive stock charts now highlight key market events that influenced share price movements on specific dates.
Google has also revamped the platform’s news feed and expanded coverage for commodities and cryptocurrencies to provide users with more real-time market intelligence.
Another major addition focuses on live corporate earnings reporting. Users can now follow earnings calls through live audio streams, synchronised transcripts and AI-generated summaries. The platform also surfaces annotated highlights intended to help investors and analysts identify key points from earnings discussions more quickly.
Google added the rollout of the tool is part of its efforts to integrate generative AI into financial research and market analysis tools as competition intensifies among technology firms building AI-powered productivity and information services.
Last week, rival AI producer Anthropic released agents designed for financial services with similar functionality, including market research and pitchbook generation.
