Google Cloud launches Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services

Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, a new agentic AI platform designed to help financial institutions automate research and complex workflows across capital markets and corporate banking.

The platform is available in preview for the two sectors and includes a Google-managed Financial Research agent, more than 50 pre-built AI skills, enterprise data connectors, and access to third-party AI agents.

Google Cloud said institutions including CME Group and Deutsche Bank are already using the platform, with Deutsche Bank acting as a design partner for the Financial Research agent.

The launch marks the first in a series of industry-specific Gemini Enterprise offerings, with Google also announcing a version for the legal sector.

Google Cloud said the platform addresses challenges facing financial institutions, including manual reporting, fragmented data sources and the need to meet strict security and regulatory requirements. It combines AI models with enterprise data, governance controls, and industry-specific tools.

At the centre of the platform is the Financial Research agent, which Google Cloud said automates research tasks and provides confidence scores, source citations and audit trails for its outputs. Users can access the agent through the Gemini Enterprise application or integrate it into existing workflows using APIs.

The platform also includes more than 50 AI skills designed for financial tasks such as credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, market research, and compliance. Google Cloud said customers can also use the skills to build their own AI agents.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services connects with a range of enterprise and market data providers, including FactSet, LSEG, Moody's, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global, and SEC Edgar.

The platform also supports third-party AI agents through Google Cloud's partner ecosystem. These include tools for Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, commercial lending, financial analysis, and market research.

Google Cloud said the platform could help financial institutions improve advisor insights, automate KYC research, strengthen portfolio analysis, identify credit market opportunities, and accelerate bond issuance workflows.

Deutsche Bank plans to use the Financial Research agent across its Corporate Bank division to support customer engagement, identify market developments, and streamline business processes. The bank is also exploring its use for financial crime risk management, forecasting, and investment banking.

Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services integrates with both Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, allowing users to generate and export AI-generated content directly into applications including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. It also supports deployment through consulting partners including Accenture, Deloitte, GFT Technologies, Infosys, KPMG, NTT Data, and PwC.

"Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn't lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant," said Thomas Kurian, chief executive of Google Cloud. "With Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are delivering exactly that – agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage."
