FStech has unveiled the agenda for CyberSecurity Live 2026, with the 11 November conference set to examine how financial institutions can strengthen operational resilience, secure software supply chains and prepare for emerging threats from artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
Taking place at Hilton London Tower Bridge, the event will bring together cybersecurity specialists, financial services professionals and technology experts for discussions on the practical challenges facing security teams as digital services become increasingly interconnected.
The programme comes as financial institutions contend with increasingly complex technology dependencies and a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Recent cloud outages affecting financial services and disclosures of critical software vulnerabilities have demonstrated how weaknesses in shared infrastructure and widely used code can have consequences across multiple organisations. AI is further changing the equation, accelerating vulnerability discovery while giving attackers new tools.
Claire MacArthur, head of technology, resilience and cyber at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), will open the conference with a keynote exploring the regulator’s perspective on building resilience in a changing threat landscape. Her session will examine how firms can demonstrate their ability to withstand and recover from incidents, manage critical third-party dependencies and ensure boards understand their responsibilities for cyber resilience.
The morning programme will turn to software supply-chain security, with Julio Guijarro, CTO at Red Hat, examining the challenges posed by vulnerabilities in open-source software and the case for greater collaboration across the technology ecosystem.
An OpenText-sponsored panel, From code to cloud: Rethinking application security in financial services, will feature representatives from HSBC, OpenText, Alvarez & Marsal and Allica Bank. The discussion will explore how organisations can integrate security into software development while managing risks associated with cloud adoption, application programming interfaces (APIs), open-source dependencies and AI-assisted coding.
Nadya Hijazi, non-executive director and former HSBC managing director, will join FStech for a fireside chat on securing digital banking at scale. Drawing on more than 30 years in financial services, she will discuss protecting critical services, managing cyber and fraud risks, and maintaining accountability as AI reshapes both attacks and defensive capabilities.
The agenda will also address future-facing security challenges. A panel featuring Sebastian Coles, CISO at OakNorth Bank, will examine Zero Trust adoption, quantum readiness and the path to stronger cyber resilience.
Ben Peet, UK and Europe CISO at Standard Chartered Bank, will close the conference by sharing 10 priorities for CISO teams in 2027, covering the capabilities and controls security leaders should be developing beyond AI.
Jonathan Easton, group editor at FStech, said: “Cybersecurity in financial services is no longer simply a question of defending systems against attack. As artificial intelligence transforms both offensive and defensive capabilities, cloud adoption expands dependencies and digital services become ever more interconnected, firms must build resilience across their entire technology estates.”
Thank you to our sponsors, Foreguard Advisory Group, Omnissa, OpenText, Red Hat and Utilize for supporting the event and contributing to these important conversations.
