XBRL US has launched a Facebook competition, inviting participants to contribute open source analytical applications for investors that leverage corporate XBRL data.

The industry group is offering people the opportunity to win a prize of $20,000 plus the chance to get their name and app in front of a panel of judges from Google Finance, GIV Venture Partners, Pipeline Trading LLP, Viano Capital and Wharton Research Data Services.
