Visa readies V.me launch

Visa is gearing up to launch its digital wallet, V.me. The service has been undergoing beta testing, a website has been introduced to provide consumers with information on the offering, and it is set to be available to the public in early 2012.

It keeps all of a customer’s cards in one secured account. Customers sign up, add a card and enter their billing address. When they’re ready to pay, they look for the V.me by Visa button at the online checkout, enter their username and password and select their payment card.

Visa is also planning to add mobile payments to V.me, as well as the ability to send and receive money, donate to a favorite cause and get deals relevant to them.

A website with further information can be found at: https://www.v.me/
