Tesco Bank is in the final stages of the transition to its own systems and infrastructure. The largest UK supermarket bank, currently boasting some 6.5 million customer accounts, went live on the Fiserv Signature platform in November 2010.
In a first quarter management statement, the grocery giant says that most of its existing products in insurance and banking have now been migrated across to Tesco successfully. The savings and loan platforms have now started operating for new customers, with the migration of existing accounts imminent. “We’re growing the number of customer accounts steadily and this will accelerate as we launch mortgages and other new products in the months ahead,” the statement noted.
