NYCE in LINK tie up

US ATM operator NYCE has signed a multi-year agreement with UK counterpart LINK to provide ATM access to customers of both networks. NYCE is a FIS-owned network which includes 360,000 ATMs across the US, while Link accounts for 63,000 machines.

“This agreement starts a new chapter for LINK,” says Dr. Ken Andrew, LINK chairman. “We have wanted to expand to make our services available to US card visitors while they are in the UK, especially with events like the London Olympics coming up in 2012. NYCE is the perfect network to team with to execute on this strategy. Its extensive expertise in ATM networks and broad reach in America make this an excellent fit.”

“Our strategy is focused on serving the needs of our clients. Providing enhanced ATM access between the UK and the US helps meet those needs,” adds Neil Marcous, president, NYCE Payments Network. “As the second internationally-focused agreement for NYCE within the last nine months, this teaming with LINK represents and supports our strategy of expanding globally.”
