NCR rolls out next gen financial kiosks

NCR Corporation has announced the global launch of the next generation of its financial kiosks.

The NCR SelfServ 4 and the SelfServ 8 enable consumers to bypass teller lines and quickly complete typical branch transactions, such as account opening, account maintenance and financial product research and purchase.

“In today’s highly competitive banking environment, financial institutions are making incremental changes at the branch-level to better serve customers and differentiate their brand. These types of operational improvements can be accelerated by self-service technology,” says Michael O’Laughlin, senior vice president at NCR Financial Services. “At NCR, we are committed to developing best-in-class self-service technology. The new financial kiosk line that has been designed to integrate into existing infrastructures and help banks achieve their branch transformation goals.”

The kiosks allow customers to pay bills, transfer funds and print statements. In addition, they can search for loan, credit card and insurance rates, receive quotes and apply for a new product or service. They can also complete third party transactions, such as purchasing a ticket or paying a fine.
