Gulf International Bank uses ALM technology

Gulf International Bank is implementing Assuria Log Manager. The Bahrain-based outfit will utilise the forensic log management, security intelligence and protective monitoring solution to help meet its internal IT governance requirements.

“Automated management of IT system logs and creation of secure audit trail vaults and archives for banking compliance purposes were the initial drivers for this project, but ALM’s powerful and flexible analysis and monitoring features have also been utilisedas we continue to evolve our overall security monitoring and reporting strategy and needs” says Ali AlMutawaa, network security manager at Gulf International Bank.

“We identified that the ALM software solution met the functional and security requirements of our current demanding banking environment, but just as importantly, the flexible architecture inherent in ALM allows us to not only meet scalability requirements but could also enable us to meet future requirements. In addition, early in the implementation, we identified some special requirements that reflected our particular environment and Assuria have been very helpful in enhancing and adding to their solution to meet our needs,” he adds.
