ASB launches iPhone app

New Zealand bank ASB has launched an iPhone app. Features include: access to the bank’s mobile banking website; GPS to help find the closest ASB branch or ATM; latest FX rates; best ways to get in touch, with a click to call feature plus Facebook and Twitter links.

ASB says that it received lots of requests from customers for an iPhone app. It currently has no plans around other mobile devices but is “closely keeping an eye on other native mobile app platforms.”

The free app can be downloaded at: http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/asb-mobile-banking/id434348489?mt=8&ign-mpt=uo%3D2
