Elizabeth is a senior risk and compliance professional with over 20 years' experience gained in both the private and public sector. At HewardMills, Elizabeth specializes in working with fintechs and online challenger banks helping them achieve a privacy culture and compliance with the GDPR. Key pieces of work include: leading compliance audits, DPIAs, managing data privacy incidents, communications to the ICO and advising on the adoption of operational risk frameworks for data privacy (including KRIs and Risk Appetite Statement development). Elizabeth previously worked for leading financial institutions including: JP Morgan, UBS and GE Capital, where she was the data protection lead for the European Restructuring Group. Elizabeth’s areas of expertise include: data protection and privacy, banking and financial services regulation, operational risk, culture and conduct risk, conflicts of interest, risk assessment and risk management.
