Speaker Profile: Jeff Valane

Jeff Valane is the Group-Wide Head of AI Management and Strategy at HSBC. Prior to joining HSBC, Jeff had spent 10 years at JP Morgan Chase & Company (JPMC). At JPMC, Jeff built and ran Firmwide AI Management & Strategy covering a similar remit to his focus areas at HSBC. Prior to JPMC, Jeff held multiple roles across industries: VLSI chip design, Trading, Hedge Fund analytics, and Management Consulting.

Jeff holds a Masters of Engineering in Systems Engineering and a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and has recently relocated to London, United Kingdom with his wife and three children. He is originally from the NYC area in the United States. During his free time Jeff enjoys skiing, tennis, karaoke, flying, and cooking.
