Outsourcing partnership of the year

This will reward the most effective relationship between a financial services provider and an outsourcing company. The winning entry will demonstrate to the judges how the partnership has helped the financial institution improve business processes, enhance customer service, reduce costs and further the organisation’s opportunities for future business success. Nominations can be on- or offshore and involve contact centre operations, security or back office administration, among other things.

Credit Suisse & Cognizant Technology Solutions

The OPERA System is a strategic accounting sub-ledger and P&L processing application suite within Credit-Suisse’ CFO IT Division, and a central component of many of the strategic and new business initiatives for the Investment Bank; including key regulatory initiatives, the derivatives change programme and FSI. As part of Credit-Suisse IT’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) transformation programme, Opera IT undertook to establish an off-shore capability in partnership with Cognizant Technology Solutions for software delivery to our global partners and clients. The emphasis for this CoE initiative was cost reduction, agility and the pursuit of excellence. This nomination is a reflection of the overall success of that engagement in 2010.

Deutsche Bank AG - PTS

Responding to dynamic market developments and the related need to improve flexibility, scalability and efficiency of the CIO organisation, Deutsche Bank decided to build an industrialised Test Utility for integration testing.


OPAL was approached by HSBC to facilitate the launch of a new tax-efficient on-shore bond. After conducting a series of stringent due diligence checks, the bank determined that OPAL was the only outsourcing partner that would be capable of managing the launch and ongoing administration of this unique new product.

Metro Bank – niu Solutions

Together, Metro Bank and service provider niu Solutions are using ICT to transform the face of British banking. Innovative customer services, coupled with a commercial agreement unique to the UK financial services industry, combine to create a banking powerhouse.

National Australia Group Europe (NAGE) - HP

NAG have purchased their PC & Hardware maintenance from HP since 2006. During that time HP have provided NAG with excellent service, consistently exceeding the agreed service level commitment over the term of the contract.
